Just reporting in for those of you wondering. I decided to rise out the hurricane at my office loft, which is amazingly well-equipped to deal with things like hurricanes and nuclear winter. No power loss here, which is more than a little fortunate. Looks like the worst is over, but still a lot of rain to be dumped into Houston - which invites a lot of other problems for our fair town.
Time to inspect some window leaks. Otherwise, all is well here.

I noticed you making the comment that you recorded the Cruse Family concert earlier this year. How can I get a copy of that? Back in the 80's I was in a band that briefly toured with the family. Do you have any email addresses for Joe & Nancy, or Joe (jr) & Becky?
Dunno if there's a recording of the reunions out there anywhere.
WOW! NO power loss?!?!??! I just got power 30 minutes ago.... it went out saturday morning at 3am
Downtown is pretty much the last place to go without power. Easy call on my part where to ride out the 'cane.
Unless I overlooked it, I didn't see a "Contact Me" button on your page so I am leaving a comment here. Just forwarding on this article with video that talks about what Lakewood is doing in the hurricane relief effort.

are the lights working in downtown??? i live about 45 min away from Lakewood, and my mom was saying she might not take me if it's going to be too dark this wednesday night. i REALLY don't want to miss another night of church!!
Dunno how Greenway Plaza is at night these days, but I'd suspect it's likely to be improved from last week.
