Interestingly, I've not seen an email announcing that Saturday service would be cancelled. I think it's rational to expect it, though.
As for me, I'm holed up at the office loft downtown. It's just about the safest place in all of Houston. Here's hoping that trend holds up for a weekend.
UPDATE: (Friday, noonish) ... not a drop of water in downtown Houston. Galveston island is getting flooding well in advance of landfall, though. As long as the power doesn't go out on us here, I might have the most prolonged bout of productivity I've had in a long, long time.

Ike, Ike, go away.......I want to see Cindy!!! :)
Be safe! I have no doubt everything will be OK.
Keep us updated!
Saturday choir rehearsal has been cancelled. I haven't heard anything about service itself. I just hope the news comes down before the power goes out, if it does go out. If the church has power and Cindy and Joel are going to be there [and Jesus of course :)], that's enough for me! I can get ready at church!
I have to admit that it'd be kinda interesting to see the service go through on Saturday. We should be on the back half of hurricane weather. Weather.com has this for 7pm:
7pm - Squalls - 81°F - 60% Chance of Precip. - 85% humidity - Wind: From S 23 mph
Depending on how bad the squalls are, that might be manageable. Again, I'm doubtful there'll be an actual service on Saturday, but I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't be foolhardy enough to make it out.
UPDATE: I left off one point. I think it's a given that whatever services we have this weekend lead off with "Let it Rain." I love it when we kick things off with that song as it's raining outside.
Just got this in am email:
Attention Choir Members –
As of Friday afternoon, the Saturday 9/13 Worship Service has been CANCELLED. A decision for the Sunday Services has not been made. I will keep you posted as things develop.
Blessings on you and be safe,

Unfortunate news, the Saturday service is CANCELLED. Check out the Lakewood Church home page. Oh well it says the Sunday service may still happen weather permitting.
