Long time, no blog. One major tidbit to highlight for the time being is that Chris Tomlin's new CD comes out after Labor Day. Oddly enough, a quarter of the songs on the new CD are already available for individual MP3 purchase and I've already played the heck out of them. This is the latest, and the best so far. It ought to be interesting to hear what else is on the CD.

I'm pretty excited for this CD. He goes back to the style that he used to do back in the day (well only a few years ago). I think my favorite song so far is God Of The City. The worship band at my church performed it a couple of months ago when we moved into our new building, and I think it captures my church's mission, and the Church's mission, pretty well. Plus it's just a cool song.
I love that song, too. Makes it kinda scary to think he can outdo that and "Jesus Messiah" with the rest of the material, but somehow I don't put it past him. There's still songs off of "See the Morning" that I thought should have been hugely popular for him and never saw the light of day on radio (to the extent that I know, anyhow).
