Two things that I've been meaning to blog about for the longest time, but just need to shoehorn in for the day ...

One, is Victoria Osteen's upcoming book releaase. The release date is October 14. I have to admit this one sorta snuck up on me since all I knew about was Victoria's planned release of a children's book (which is apparently still on for January). The upcoming book is also already avaiable for pre-order at the Lakewood site.

I somehow managed to work in a stroll through the bookstore before service on Saturday. More like a rush, but in any event, I didn't spot anything going on there for a presale. Doesn't mean they aren't doing anything ... just that it didn't jump out at me in my mad dash to see what was new in the world of books and music. In any event, this is something to look forward to.

The second item to just drop a mention of is an upcoming Youth Explosion concert at Deer Park's high school football stadium. Thus far, Leeland, 33 Miles, and Breyland are slated for some song & dance. If that doesn't do enough for you, consider that they're also having a demolition derby going on. Yeah, not sure what the Bible sez about that, but I have to admit that's a key selling point in my book. That one goes on from September 10-12.
