Two outtakes from this past Wednesday here. Overall, I thought it was great to have the L7 band for a change. Lots of energy up there on stage, and I think the opening song captures a bit of that.
"My Savior Lives":
"Inside Out":
Christine Caine was great, as well. Turns out she's Greek, not Australian. So the "R"s kinda came and went.

I was blown away by this Wednesday's service. I've sort of been missing Lakewood's webcasts for the past couple of weeks. So I'm glad I picked this Wednesday to start back. I'm always excited to see teenagers who aren't afraid to gather and worship the Lord, being a young adult myself. And these guys have energy! I'm sure the last time there was so much jumping in the room, Hillsong United was there. Anyway, I'm glad they let L7 lead worship and I hope it continues to happen in the future.
P.S. I thought they did a great job with King of Majesty and We Have Overcome. Would it be possible to post those videos too?
Oh, and one question. Is Michael Woelfel a worship leader for L7? I always assumed he was just a special guest when I saw him perform in the Sunday services. I never realized he was a member of Lakewood.
Ya know, I kinda went into the night thinking I wanted to find one great moment to highlight of the band and ended up leaving knowing that there just wasn't a bad one. As much as I hate to overdo it with video clips, I'll see if I can rationalize one more when I'm back in the splicing room on Sunday.
I think there's like a hundred members of the Woelfel family that attend Lakewood (give or take a dozen). Michael seems to be everywhere and my secret suspicion is that the kid practically runs the place.
Is that Jonathan Osteen playing guitar or not.... it looks like him... is it?
Nope, not Jonathan.
I thought that might have been Jonathan playing being that he is now in the L7 band

For me, blogging ... for anyone else who happens along, reading. This may be a more helpful read in answering this half of the question.

Some say he's the son of a sharecropper who arrived in this country with five sheckels to his name; others say he was raised by wild animals; still others say .... well, ya know what? It probably doesn't matter what they say. I'm Greg. Whaddaya wanna know?
