Sunday Video: Choir & Ensemble

One of the drawbacks to not having lyrics up on the bigscreens ... I thought they were singing "I am here" instead of "I am healed." Certainly made my task of looking up the song via Google a bit of a challenge. Alas, it's "I Am Healed", performed commercially by Donald Lawrence & The Tri City Singers. The only download I see on Amazon, though, is a rather nifty jazz instrumental version. Maybe you iTuners will have a little better luck finding Lawrence's version. (UPDATE: Reggie, you are a genius, good sir ... "Healed" by Donald Lawrence is available on Amazon.)

In any event, here's the Lakewood version:

And while I'm at it, why not celebrate having the whole gang together on stage with a revised number that I haven't heard them perform in a long time, "Amazing Love" (Versions: Phillips, Craig & Dean, Chris Tomlin, Newsboys)

I was a bit shocked to see them do a Donald Lawrence song, not disappointed though. I happen to be a huge Donald Lawrence fan, but his music leans further towards the gospel end of the spectrum than anything Israel or Lakewood has done in the past. One thing I do love about Lakewood though is that they're not afraid to tackle a variety of songs. Their one of the few churches out there that has no problem doing both gospel and christian music, and I think that's one of the reasons why I enjoy the worship team there so much.

Well too my point. Try looking up "Healed" instead of "I Am Healed". You may have better luck finding a downloadable version of the song that way. It was featured on the album "I Speak Life". Hope that helps.

I love the variety of music played by the Lakewood worship team also. I love to listen to Gospel music, but because of Lakewood I have come to love artists such as Chris Tomlin, Big Daddy Weave, Hillsong and many others also. Lakewood worship is always awesome!

Big thanks to Greg for posting the great videos.

Glad I could help again. And I feel the same way Dominique. Hillsong and New Life (Desperation Band) are my two favorite christian groups and I first heard their music through Lakewood. So I hope they keep up the variety of music in the future.

Hi Greg. Thank you sooooo much for taking the time to post the awesome videos. I just came across your site during the past weekend when I was googling the J-LIFE blacklight performance. My two children were a part of it and I was hoping to find a quality version. I have about 4 videos of it, but nothing beats a high quality Lakewood version.

I am a choir member and am constantly amazed at how the music department worship leaders challenge us to span the spectrum of Christian music, which is how it should be. I appreciate being able to watch the worship on your site. When we are singing we are in the midst of worshipping. To be able to experience the worship from the perspective of the congregation is a completely different aspect. I find myself touched in a much different way.

By the way, although not the title of the song, your "I am here" interpretation works just as well....it brings to mind "I'm still standing." In my mind each is a declaration of God's goodness, graciousness, and healing powers.
