For today, one of my favorite songs off of Chris Tomlin's last release, See the Morning. And I should point out that as good as that CD really is, it says a lot for any one song to really qualify as a favorite considering that the song isn't either "Amazing Grace" or any of the others on heavy rotation on Christian radio. This one's been something of a second-tier tune by Chris and I keep hoping that changes. Watch below and see if you agree ...
What's even stranger is that I've got a rather clear picture in my mind for how this song should be performed if it's ever done at Lakewood (or any other large venue, perhaps). What's unfortunate for me is that it's that mental sketch that makes anything else something of a letdown. To me, this is an incredibly powerful song that I've just not seen performed in a way that captures that spirit.

God thank you for putting it up. I wanted to hear it from moment it was mentioned. Now that I have, it's very special. It's encapsulates everything I feel about God.
I give my favorite Scripture from the last chapter of the last book of The Bible: I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.
The song is right up there alongside Darlene Zschech's "None But Jesus" and Hillsong United's "Higher."
All the earth will sing,
All the world will sing
Sing glory, glory to the King.
I always picture, when singing certains songs, people from all walks of life, believers from all nations, standing and looking ahead to the risen Lord, praising him. What a glorious sight that will be when the day comes.
How fitting it is to end the song with the highest praise, Hallelujah.
This is an excellent song. Has Chris Tomlin ever done anything that wasn't great!?!
