In continuation with the Thankgiving testimonies from this weekend, here's one more. The other two were posted for the fact that they represented two people that I claim as friends. Joel & Jonathan, I believe I've only bumped into very briefly once or twice. But their music, obviously, drives a great deal of the praise & worship I get to take part in at Lakewood. But to simply tag them as talented musicians is an understatement of the degree of their musical talent and their heart for worship. Here's their Thanksgiving testimony ...

Wow, awesome story. They rock. So glad they shared.
Hey, the Kris Hey call (11/28 post) to share is great. Funny, I was thinking of sharing a great Thanks-living blessing here. I'm hesitant to ... the call to action resulted in me being equally or more blessed than the person who was set to receive the blessing. I will do so, in hope, it will inspire others. The testimonies this past weekend have certainly blessed me.
For a long time I've noticed a gentleman praising the Lord during services. His enthusiastic jumping and singing are very contagious. Yes, there are others who fit the same category, like Mr. Hill and the Camey brothers. But, he stood out from his first visit on a Sunday and the subsequent Wednesday. Seeing him puts a smile on my face and inspires me in my wacky dance with the Lord.
In any case, I've also noticed he didn't have a bible. Something strong spoke to me that I should help him in getting one. Over the months, I've dismissed the feeling and even forgot about it. But, last Thanksgiving week, the feeling came back. I solicited advice from another who said "how do you know he wants one?" and "shouldn't you ask him first." Well, I wanted it to be anonymous (I suspect it will still be as he doesn't look at FBB or know me). The feeling was too strong to ignore again.
Last Wednesday, I wrote a brief letter telling him he's an inspiration to see, how someone once told me I was an inspiration to them and I wanted to extend the Lord's grace and that he should continue living for and worshipping the Lord. I placed the letter with a small $50 in an envelope. I also told him the money was for the bible but that he should use it however he would like. (Maybe, he needed something more than a bible at that time).
Those who SORTA "know" me know how much courage it takes for me to move from one place to another. I asked God to direct my steps. He did and provided an usher to help me in delivering the letter to the gentleman. Well, during the service, I was shocked and almost floored to see the man crying! Praise be to God alone. The following Saturday, I bumped into the usher who said he saw the man at one of the Bookstore's cash register with something!
Well folks, this past Sunday I saw the man hugging tightly a big black rectangular object by his heart. A bible perhaps? He cried again and at one point he kissed it! Cool! Hallelujah! To God be the Glory!
So many great things has been happening and that experience was just one of them! God is faithful. I've learned to listen to that still small voice (not always discernable, but), not let others discourage you and to never give up. I'm the one that is truly blessed for life. (Thank you Lord.)
Thanks for allowing the post.
