Monday Video: Clayton & Paulis

By way of a too-brief summation, the weekend service was absolutely great. I really wish I could just post the full thing and compel everyone to watch it. As it stands, I'm probably pushing the limits of generosity in taking so many snippets from the service. Here's hoping the holiday season is full of grace!

Musically, we were treated to someone new: Clayton Ring. Here, he's performing one of my favorite Chris Tomlin numbers, "How Can I Keep From Singing." I'd say he did a pretty darned good job of it.

With no Compass Class this weekend, I had the good fortune of sitting through all of the band & choir warmup. As a fan of the song above, I have to confess that I really wish I had the audio of the choir doing a late run-through of the backing chorus here. An absolutely wonderful way to spend the quiet time before service starts.

Secondly, I made it a point to record the Spanish service. Up at Koinonia, another splendid member of the "AV Booth Small Group" informed me that Paulis Sanchez (MySpace) strolled through looking over the place and said she'd be ministering at the Spanish service. I figure since she was kind enough to stop our way, why not showcase her a bit, too. I'm told you might savor this a bit more if you speak Spanish, but I'm willing to guess that you'll pick up enough to bless you from watching below. I've at least deduced enough to know that this is "Gracias" from her upcoming album, "Seguro En Ti" (Safe In You). Release date seems to be set for February 26, 2008. Enjoy the preview ...
