Heh ... by way of followup to my missive below, I return home tonight to see that the postal service has updated their tracking info on my Amazon delivery. It now readers "Departure Scan" from Dallas. I may have those books by Tuesday, after all!

On a completely related note, however, I'm declaring my "Book Fast" over regardless. Milling about at the bookstore after Joyce Meyer, I caved, picking up what I once referred to as tantamount to "serving alcohol at an AA meeting." More on Joyce to follow.
