I'm not sure how to explain the current kick I'm on. But for whatever reason, I've had a hankering for Donna Summer's "Unconditional Love." Maybe it's my deep and abiding appreciation for cheesy things from the 80s. Maybe it's that I love the cover of this done by the Altar Boys on one of my quintessential favorite Christian CDs of all time. Or maybe it's that I have an unspoken love of this mix of a hint of reggae, a whiff of disco, and a whole lotta Donna Summer.
Whatever ... dance along with me:
For the good ol' fashioned MTV version of this (along with special guests, Musical Youth), check here. Embedding was disabled on that one, so I had to go with the lip synch version.

Guffaw. I love it. 80's. Disco. London. Surprisingly, it was a bit hard for me to decipher what the young boys were saying at times. Though, I did hear some words I haven't heard in ages. I wish I could've played it aloud in the office. But, I fear I would not have the option of returning the next day. Can anyone say "permanent vacation?" Now, I have to keep Aug 2007 (JL's "RL") and Oct 2007 (DS's "UL" and "LATCMH") in a virtual capsule.
P.S. Thanks Al Gore for the www. Al Gore for prez. Perot for vice. ;-).
