One downside to the busy-ness of the day job: sometimes it's more important to just savor and soak up some of what I see at church before I can get around to blogging about it. Wednesday was definitely that type of day. And among the things I failed to give adequate applause for was that the Wednesday ensemble was added to with Joel Camey for the entire night. I caught part of the rehearsal and knew it would be incredible ... while also knowing I had a 7:30 interview upstairs. I caught two songs that I was too physically exhausted to enjoy as much as I should. And I was coasting on fumes by Saturday night, truth be told. So I'm blaming that for my lack of gloating over the latest, much-appreciated new twist to our praise & worship format.
That Wednesday night, they introduced a new song - "Abundance of Rain." Here's the Sunday version, ties and all. Great job by all involved. Great fit for Steve Crawford's voice and style and a few great video clips capturing the full ensemble in something approaching the way we get to take it in live and in person.

I was a little dissappointed that this song didn't make it to the CD. It's definitely a hit. By the way, Fiona Mellett sung the Spanish special and rocked the house. Every single person was standing up. It was great!

That is an awesome song Steve, I've been trying to locate lyrics or music for this so my brothers worship team can starting singing it at their local church. Does anyone know where I can purchase this one song or get music/lyrics for it?

Absolutely blessed by this song!!!!!! Ever since I found this site I have been listening to this song to build me up and encourage me. I have to literally listen to this song as a reminder that my being a blessing here on Earth is builing up a cloud in Heaven and I know that my day is coming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Watch out God's people, my cloud is about to burst!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GLORY TO JESUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
