Well, I've already violated one promise to myself ... I cracked open Mike Yaconelli's "Messy Spirituality" on the way to work, knowing that there was no way I'd get it all read in one sitting. On the one hand, bummer. On the other hand, I am thoroughly kicking myself for not buying this book earlier. The guy may as well have written my life story if the first 27 pages are any indication. I'm already clearing out a small portion of my shelf for classics that I insist on re-reading several times over.
