Monday Video: Steve Crawford

Apologies for the delayed Video Monday here. Between a hectic workload at the day job and an uncooperative laptop, I've had a bit more difficulty this weekend with video. But this is one clip that I've had in the tank for a while and just wanted to unleash at "just the right time."

Well, one aspect of this being a rather serendipitous moment is due to the fact that this very song was performed over the weekend during the collection. I've put up clips of Steve & Da'Dra Crawford earlier ... and even one of Da'Dra solo. But this is one of my favorites - Steve Crawford, solo. "You Raise Me Up," popularly performed by Josh Groban.

The delivery just plays to Stephen's strengths incredibly well. And by the time you throw in some nice Michael Hodge riffs, I'm already sold on the song. Ironically, the song is taken from Joel's message #319. Ironic because you won't find it listed on the site anymore. No idea why that is. But since I like to use these clips to encourage you give another spin to one of Joel's sermons, why not go with the rerold school and give a listen to #281: "Having a Kind, Gentle Spirit." There's a great song there by Marcos Witt as well as a great sermon by Joel.
