Joel On Larry King

Well, as luck would have it, I get home just in time to watch the replay of Larry King. The transcript is already up for those who prefer to read the thing. I'm sure I'll manage a thought or two on it before long. For now, I'll just offer an unbelieving shake of the head over the types of questions interviews like this offer up. I think Joel managed it as well as could have been, but there sure seem to be precious few questions over anything involving Joel's ministry and a whole lot of questions about Mel Gibson, homosexuality, Bill O'Reilly's silly concept of a 'war on Christmas', and the obligatory mention by Larry King that Billy Graham watches his show every night.

As Matt noted in the comments earlier, Victoria does mention a bit about her book project. I vaguely recall some mention that a book for her was part of the arrangement in Joel's latest book contract. No surprise about the type of material for it, it would seem to be in keeping with the content of the two message series of her's available at the bookstore and the theme of most of her time at the pulpit on the weekends.

On that note, I've somehow found myself in the middle of three different books and my Amazon splurge for myself came in yesterday, so I've got a slew of new reading before me. Good problem to have. For now, though ... some rest.
