Good problem to have, I suppose. But I go through waves of not being able to find anything interesting enough to read ... and then a deluge hits and I've got to draw the line somewhere and leave something off the reading list. Here's what's catching my eye now, though ...
The Way of the Wild Heart: A Map for the Masculine Journey - John Eldredge
Another must-read on the horizon. No previews online that I can find, but a bit more is available over at the publisher's page for the book. Release date for this is November 14.
A few more books of interest either relatively new or coming soon:
- Prayer: Does It Make Any Difference? - Philip Yancey
I picked this up for a quick look a while back and immediately fell in love with it. Yancey approaches the topic a bit similarly to me, so how can I resist? - Fresh Faith by Jim Cymbala
Faith has always been a distinct topic that I wish I had all the time in the world to analzye in greater detail. Sadly, it's a topic that gets short shrift in Christian literature. Cymbala's book seems to be an approach that I can relate to a bit more than how other authors treat the subject. - The 360 Degree Leader Workbook by John Maxwell
I've just about finished this book up, so I've got till October 18th to wait for this addition to it. Joy.
For the record, I'm thinking of making it a two-fer month and picking up Yancey's book as well as Jim Graff's new book.
