At long last, the Joel & Victoria segment of the PTL interview by Matt & Laurie Crouch. Enjoy it for now. I'll have a pithy thought or two later today, I'm sure. Again, the video requires Flash 8, which is a quick download even in dialup land. If you don't have that version of Flash installed, you should get the sound, but no video. This is the lesser of the two quality rips I made of the video. I'm going to just leave this version running today and see if I want to upgrade it later since the better mix is a huge ol' honkin file that requires patience to upload, even on DSL. Anyways, here ya go ...

As usual, good stuff from Osteen. I really don't see how he catches so much flack.
I've never seen PTL before. Someone should tell the hosts that it's common practice for the interviewees to talk more that the interviewers.
Yeah, the Crouches have um ... let's say "a unique flair." It's sorta entertaining in that they're at least not as uptight as the elder Crouches. There were points in there that Matt's questioning was nearly unbearable, but the upside of it all is that the interview does a good job of actually discussing the ministry of Lakewood while even finding a way to weave in some well-aimed questions about the nonsense that comes up from Joel's ventures into secular media (in this case, the Larry King interview and the attacks as being "Christian Lite").
I just keep telling myself that it's a long interview - 27 minutes. If it were more of a staid, uptight style, it might not be as worthwhile to sit through it all. So the younger Crouches deserve at least that much praise for their style. And when it came to Dodie's interview, they pretty much just gave her the facetime on camera to share her testimony of being healed by cancer. Great testimony no matter how many times I've heard it and class move for just handing over the camera for it.
